CaliPanther ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the CaliPanther mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Workout Data

We collect workout completion data including exercises performed, XP earned, streaks, and timestamps. This data powers your stats, achievements, and leaderboard ranking.

Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system version, and a unique device identifier for push notification delivery and crash reporting.

Camera

Rep counting with the camera is off until you switch it on in Settings. When it is on, the camera feed is read on your own device to work out where your joints are, and the rep count comes from that. No video, photograph, or body measurement is recorded, stored, transmitted to us, or shared with anyone — nothing leaves your device, and the camera stops the moment you leave the workout screen. The pose-detection model that reads the frames is downloaded to your device from a public code CDN; your video is never sent to it, or anywhere else.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to CaliPanther Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide the Service: display your stats, track streaks, power the leaderboard, and deliver workout features.
Notifications: send daily workout reminders and streak alerts (only if you opt in).
Improve the App: analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve features.
Customer Support: respond to your questions or issues.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase — authentication and database (firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
RevenueCat — subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
Expo / EAS — app updates and notifications (expo.dev/privacy)

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security policies on our database.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data in a portable format
Opt out of notifications at any time via Settings

7. Children's Privacy

CaliPanther is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
